Education is a prerequisite to the progress and development of a society. Suitable education at the degree and postgraduate levels can be a person’s passport to ‘cushy’ jobs and economic advancement in life: giving proper training to the youths at the college would equip them with deep subject knowledge and soft skills helping them to attain better careers.
Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science is one of the first-grade colleges in the state offering nine postgraduate and thirteen undergraduate courses in Science & Mathematics, Commerce & Management, and Humanities. The college has been offering BSc and MSc courses since its inception in the year 2002. Yet, the College is poised for changes to keep pace with the development in the higher education scenario in the country with additions to its infrastructure and instructional facilities. It is hoped that these changes would help in molding outstanding young professionals in their chosen fields who would get preference in placements in the limited global job market.
